Softball Preview: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Clearfield Falcons        
        
		
            
 The Bountiful RedHawks will head out on the road to  face off against  the Clearfield Falcons at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Bountiful is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Bountiful gave their fans yet another huge  win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Roy with a sharp  15-0 victory.
  Ella Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Miller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 17 consecutive pitching appearances. Miller was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaci Alvey, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.  Athena Tongaonevai was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Clearfield was able to grind out a solid  win over Bonneville on Tuesday, taking the game  4-1.
 Like Bountiful, Clearfield also got a great game from a two-way player:  Jenna Lloyd. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. Lloyd was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Lloyd wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Brynn Nicholls, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Bountiful has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 16 of their last 17 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record  this season. As for Clearfield, their record now sits at 9-12.
 Thursday's   game will be a test for both team's pitchers. Bountiful hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .425. However, it's not like Clearfield struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Bountiful came out on top in a nail-biter against Clearfield  in their previous matchup  back in April, sneaking past  1-0. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Lloyd, who   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. Now that she's  got a second chance to win this matchup, will Bountiful still be able to contain  Lloyd? There's only one way to find out.
