Softball Recap: Clinton County Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

While Clinton County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Monroe County. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 15-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clinton County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15-1.

Coincidentally, Clinton County and Monroe County will both be playing Russell County the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Lakers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
