Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Little Village walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the ACERO Garcia Patriots a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. That four goal margin sets a new team best for Little Village this season.

Little Village's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for ACERO Garcia, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little Village will venture away from home to challenge Curie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Little Village are facing Curie at the right time seeing as Curie are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for ACERO Garcia, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bogan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
