Ida B. Wells got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They blew past the Roosevelt Roughriders 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Guardians this season.

Ida B. Wells is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
