Softball Recap: Antelope Beats Desert Heights Prep for Their Third Straight Win

Antelope entered their tilt with Desert Heights Prep on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Yote 20-4. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 13-12 victory the Yote walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Isela Marquez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Marquez was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Abigail Lucero was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Karyme Arana also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Antelope always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .703. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Antelope's record now sits at 7-2. As for Desert Heights Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
