Volleyball Recap: Eugene Comes Up Short

Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eldon Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Jaidyn Shelden, who had seven digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Eugene's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Eldon, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

Eugene has already played their next contest (against Bunceton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Eldon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Boonville on the 11th.
