Basketball Recap: Nottoway Takes a Loss

After flying high against Randolph-Henry last Wednesday, Nottoway came back down to earth. The Nottoway Cougars were outmatched by the Buckingham Knights and fell 47-20. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, Nottoway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anna Lee posted 13 boards. Lee is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Nottoway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Buckingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Nottoway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-32 win against King William on the 23rd. Buckingham has also already played their next contest, a 38-10 victory against Nelson County on the 23rd.
