Softball Recap: Belfast's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Belfast was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Camden Hills Windjammers by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Belfast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Metcalf, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Belfast fell to 6-1. As for Camden Hills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

The future could be bright for both Belfast and Camden Hills: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Lions will look to extend Waterville's three-game losing streak when they meet at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Camden Hills will try to hand Oceanside their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
