It's playoff time, and Philip Barbour had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Logan Wildcats 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Colts, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Kale Wolfe made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Wolfe was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landyn Carpenter, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Philip Barbour's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Logan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-5 record this season.

Philip Barbour will face off against Wheeling Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Maroon Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. Logan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
