Fans got a thrill when Josh Talley and Kaleb Grimes connected against Tipton-Rosemark Academy. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Freelance this season.
Lancaster Christian Academy moved up to 118 from 150 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Knights were able to move up by beating Gordonsville 58-35.
Lancaster Christian Academy's Matthew Williams and Jared Beard have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Williams has thrown for 1,410 yards this season, while Beard has 29 catches for 676 yards. Macon Road Baptist's Talley leads the league in rushing yards with 263.
Rocky Peeler's team added to the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating the Tigers, 58-35. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
