Mason posted their closest win since January 14th on Wednesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over the Oak Hills Highlanders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-41 back in December of 2025.

When it comes to explaining why Oak Hills lost, don't look at Ava Kammerer. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 42.9% of the Highlanders' points, marking the fourth time in a row Kammerer has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rhianna Riep, who scored two points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Mason and bumps their season record up to 13-8. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 43 points in those games. As for Oak Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Mason wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-37 loss against Lakota West on the 14th. As for Oak Hills, they have also already played their next game, a 56-26 defeat against Sycamore on the 14th.
