Volleyball Recap: Oakcrest Comes Up Short

Oakcrest lost against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Wolves.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.

Oakcrest's offense was headlined by Maddie McDonnell and Monica White, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Maeve O'Beirne and her five assists. Yana Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oakcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakcrest will square off against Chelsea Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, they will take on Fredericksburg Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
