Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only El Dorado walked away with it. They came out on top against the Chapin Huskies by a score of 12-9 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Aztecs as they're now sitting on six straight.

Mia Davis was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Carmen Vargas was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

El Dorado was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in six consecutive matches.

El Dorado pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Chapin, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8-2.

El Dorado will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
