Football Game Preview: Maumelle Hornets vs. White Hall Bulldogs

The Maumelle Hornets will head out to challenge the White Hall Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maumelle is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Friday, Maumelle strolled past Jacksonville with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. The Hornets pushed the score to 43-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans cut but never quite recovered from.

A big part of Maumelle's win came down to the chemistry between Levi Warrior and his top target Christian Jackson. Warrior threw for 396 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt while Jackson picked up 178 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those five passing touchdowns gave Warrior a new career-high.

Maumelle didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Jacksonville to a completion percentage of just 37.5%. The Hornets weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 64.9%.

White Hall never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Watson Chapel on Friday. They managed a 32-28 victory over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

White Hall's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Maumelle, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Maumelle against White Hall in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
