After having lost a blowout in their previous game against University Academy Charter, Summit Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Van Horn Falcons. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 41-31 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Van Horn lost, don't look at Barlin Gloto. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Gloto is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaziah Quinn, who posted nine points and four steals.

Summit Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8-1 record this season. As for Van Horn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Summit Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-39 loss against Adrian on the 11th. As for Van Horn, they have also already played their next contest, a 62-30 victory against Washington on the 11th.
