Softball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 21-3 to the St. Francis Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in April.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for St. Francis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Francis, they will challenge Somonauk at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
