Baseball Recap: Ware Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Ware's offense. They fell just short of the Drury Blue Devils by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in April.

Ware dropped their record down to 10-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Drury, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Coming up, Ware will face off against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Drury, they will take on Taconic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunder have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
