Baseball Recap: Alameda Beats Rangeview for Their 14th Straight Win

Alameda entered their tilt with Rangeview on Friday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 14-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 15 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Cesar H was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Angel Arroyo was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Dominic Huerta was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Alameda was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in 14 consecutive contests.

Alameda's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. As for Rangeview, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Coincidentally, Alameda and Rangeview will both be playing Montbello the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pirates will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
