Basketball Recap: North Farmington Takes a Loss

North Farmington lost against Berkley two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The North Farmington Raiders were outmatched by the Berkley Bears and fell 69-36. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Bears are ranked 144th).

Caleigh Tracey went supernova for Berkley, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Tracey a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Kirkwood, who posted eight points along with six assists and four steals.

North Farmington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Berkley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

North Farmington has already played their next contest, a 55-23 loss against Adams on the 29th. As for Berkley, they will challenge Southfield Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southfield Arts & Tech has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
