Baseball Recap: Armwood Takes a Loss

Armwood suffered their closest loss since March 11, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the East Bay Indians by a score of 6-4. The Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Armwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhys Brush, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Brush a new career-high in hits (three). Theodric Hicks also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Armwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for East Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Armwood will take on Tampa Bay Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Bay, they will square off against Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandon has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.43 runs per game on average), something East Bay will no doubt try to take advantage of.
