Canyon is a perfect 7-0 against Esperanza since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Canyon will square off against Esperanza at 5:30 p.m. Canyon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Wednesday, Canyon got the win against Anaheim by a conclusive 3-0.

Meanwhile, Esperanza beat Brea Olinda 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Aztecs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 29-27, 27-29, 25-17.

Canyon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Esperanza, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.

Canyon took their win against Esperanza in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
