Volleyball Recap: Redfield Takes a Loss

Redfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Central Thunder.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Redfield sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Redfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Katryn Evans had 21 digs. Evans is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Redfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Redfield and North Central will both be playing Timber Lake the next time they take the court. The Pheasants will host the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Thunder will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
