Football Recap: Shenendehowa Beats Colonie Central for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Shenendehowa strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Colonie Central Wolfpack 34-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Plainsmen's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 163rd).

Shenendehowa had a senior duo take command as Carter Toth rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries and Joseph Cardinale gained 71 total yards and a touchdown. Ryan Heptig got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Shenendehowa was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Shenendehowa's defense and their three sacks. Elijah Woodrow was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Heptig got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Shenendehowa's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Colonie Central, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.
