Recap: Niobrara County Tigers vs. Big Horn Rams
The Niobrara County Tigers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came out on top against Big Horn by a score of 72-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Big Horn still got an impressive performance from Caleb Gibson, who scored 33 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The matchup was Gibson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Stafford, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Niobrara County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Big Horn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Niobrara County will face off against Wright at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wright has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 663 points over their last nine contests. As for Big Horn, they will head out on the road to face off against Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Burns has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
