Columbia Central extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 15-11 in the process. Everything went their way against the Lawrence County Wildcats as they made off with a 16-6 victory. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Lawrence County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 4th.

For Lawrence County's part, Alex Bedford was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Bedford is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 5-1 (and 10-13 when he doesn't).
