Baseball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

Sycamore was the 14-7 winner over Belvidere North when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Sycamore fell 10-7 to Belvidere North on Thursday.

Sycamore saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Townsend, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. Another was Tyler Lojko, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Sycamore now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Belvidere North, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Sycamore is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Hononegah at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Belvidere North, they will square off against Dundee-Crown at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Dundee-Crown will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Belvidere North surely won't give up without a fight.
