Volleyball Recap: Centennial Triumphs

Centennial saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Desert Pines Jaguars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Centennial found their leader in sophomore Ty Ahlstrom, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Ahlstrom.

Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Desert Pines, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Somerset Academy Losee on the 4th. As for Desert Pines, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mojave on the 4th.
