Empire gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Coolidge Bears with a sharp 19-4 victory. The Ravens are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 18 straight dating back to last season.

Empire got a big performance out of Gabrianna Brooks, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Brooks a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Lainey Kroeger, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Empire always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coolidge only posted an OBP of .200.

Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Empire has already played their next matchup, a 7-5 win against Sahuarita on the 8th. Coolidge has also already played their next contest (against Miami), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
