Preview: Timber Creek Regional Chargers vs. Burlington Township Falcons
The Timber Creek Regional Chargers will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Burlington Township Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Thursday, Timber Creek Regional came up short against Mainland Regional and fell 57-50.
Meanwhile, Burlington Township unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 60-51 to Cinnaminson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Burlington Township has scored all season.
Burlington Township's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Quayd Hendryx, who scored 12 points, and Baron Davis who scored 13 points. Davis scored a full 25.5% of Burlington Township's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Irving Singletary, who scored eight points.
Timber Creek Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Burlington Township, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Everything came up roses for Timber Creek Regional against Burlington Township when the teams last played back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 93-60 victory.
