Baseball Recap: Maud Cardinals vs. Ore City Rebels
Maud lost against Ore City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maud Cardinals wound up on the wrong side of a rough 13-2 walloping at the hands of the Ore City Rebels.
Maud saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trentyn Sisson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and a double.
Maud's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Ore City, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Maud will head out on the road to take on Linden-Kildare at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Linden-Kildare will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Ore City, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against McLeod at 6:00 p.m. Ore City knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past four games -- so hopefully McLeod likes a good challenge.
