Volleyball Game Preview: Wilson Wildcats vs. Sierra Vista Dons

The Wilson Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Sierra Vista Dons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wilson had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Don Lugo on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Conquistadores 3-0.

Wilson got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a set and slipped past Arroyo 3-2. The Dons haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wilson took their victory against Sierra Vista when the teams last played back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
