Soccer Recap: St. Francis' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

St. Francis's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, St. Francis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Saint Ignatius College Prep are ranked 24th).

Misael Diaz and Brady Hamman scored both of St. Francis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Francis fell to 2-1-2. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against DePaul College Prep on the 11th. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against IC Catholic Prep on the 11th.
