Basketball Recap: Rainier Comes Up Short

Rainier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the St. Helens Lions, falling 61-19. The Columbians lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-47 score last time.

Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Helens, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Rainier will be playing in front of their home fans against Banks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Helens, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sweet Home at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
