Last Friday, Knightdale didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Heritage, but they still walked away with a 44-39 victory.
Knightdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayomide Adewumi led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Melody Bryant, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
In what's become a running theme this season, Rolesville gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Millbrook for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-43 victory on the road. Given Rolesville's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Millbrook is ranked 387th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Knightdale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Rolesville, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
