Softball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After only one run in their last match, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin made sure to put some runs up on the board against Chrisman on Friday. The Blue Devils blew past the Cardinals 17-2. The Blue Devils not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th.

Eva Ronto made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin got a massive performance out of Ava Acton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, Acton posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Shelato, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Chrisman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will square off against Lexington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chrisman, they will head out on the road to challenge Iroquois West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
