Baseball Recap: A.J. Ellender Comes Up Short

A.J. Ellender was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Morgan City Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by just one run.

Landon Duplantis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kavin Robinson, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

A.J. Ellender's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Morgan City, their win bumped their record up to 10-23.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A.J. Ellender will take on Houma Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan City, they will square off against Delcambre at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
