Central came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Albany Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 6-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Central pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for West Albany, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Central will take on Crescent Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for West Albany, they will welcome McKay at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Royal Scots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.15 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
