Preview: West Nottingham Rams vs. Tome Titans
The West Nottingham Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Tome Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
West Nottingham pushed their score all the way to 78 on Sunday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grace Brethren Christian. While losing is never fun, West Nottingham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Grace Brethren Christian is ranked tenth).
Meanwhile, Tome pushed their score all the way to 55 last Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-55 walloping at the hands of Tri-State Christian. It was the first time this season that Tome let down their fans at home.
This is the second loss in a row for West Nottingham and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Tome, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.
West Nottingham might still be hurting after the 50-29 defeat they got from Tome in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Can West Nottingham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
