Lynden Christian took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Burlington-Edison, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lyncs skirted past the Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lyncs have posted against the Tigers since February 16, 2021.

Lynden Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Burlington-Edison into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 18-25, 21-25, 15-10.

Lynden Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season. As for Burlington-Edison, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lynden Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison will take on rival Nooksack Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
