Softball Recap: Decatur Central's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Decatur Central lost against Mooresville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks came up short against the Pioneers, falling 16-3. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Charlie Baldwin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.

Decatur Central's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Mooresville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

While Decatur Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
