Baseball Recap: Kalamazoo Central Takes a Loss

The matchup between Kalamazoo Central and Hackett Catholic Prep on Saturday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Maroon Giants came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 18-1. The Maroon Giants were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Kalamazoo Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Dolislager, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Kalamazoo Central now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Kalamazoo Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Norrix at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Maroon Giants surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, they will square off against Parchment at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
