Recap: East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] Rivals vs. Klahowya Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to The East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] Rivals, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were dealt a 49-20 loss at the hands of Klahowya on Friday. East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Klahowya apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Aaron Glanz rushed for 33 yards. Cash Holmes was his top target, picking up 139 receiving yards.
It was another big night for Jackson Kealoha, who threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Kealoha is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Nathan West also helped out with an impressive 104 receiving yards.
East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum]'s loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-7 Kingston and 1-6 Vashon Island (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 41.5% over those games). As for Klahowya, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Klahowya, they will head out on the road to face off against Sultan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
