Alexander Central is 6-1 against Ashe County since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday.  At the plate, Alexander Central got a big performance out of  Gavin Bentley, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. The dominant performance gave  Bentley a new career-high in  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddix Reese, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Alexander Central  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .535. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Ashe County waltzed into their game  on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Longhorns as they made off with  a  30-9 win. The Huskies' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Lincoln Holdaway looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
 Ashe County's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Alexander Central,  the  win  got them back to even at 4-4.
