The Cornerstone Christian Warriors will head out to take on the Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cornerstone Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin 62-6 on Thursday. The Warriors pushed the score to 62-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raptors cut but never quite recovered from.

Jaylen McKane continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and three scores on only ten carries. He has become a key player for Cornerstone Christian: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Malcolm Carter, who threw for 113 yards and three TDs on only eight passes.
Cornerstone Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drake Carroll and Xavier Gardner. Cornerstone Christian received some extra help from Jacob Veasey, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Legacy School of Sport Sciences against Richland on Thursday as the team secured a 56-22 victory. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Raiders are ranked 611th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences' win came from a few key players Cornerstone Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Michael Brown, who picked up 151 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September. Legacy School of Sport Sciences also got a significant boost from Julian Shepherd, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 113 yards.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 89.7 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 151.
The win made it two in a row for Cornerstone Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points in those games. As for Legacy School of Sport Sciences, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Cornerstone Christian has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 169 rushing yards a game.
