Silver Lake Regional is 9-1 against Hingham since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lakers will look to defend their home field against the Harbormen at 4:00 p.m. Silver Lake Regional's pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so Hingham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Silver Lake Regional is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: La Salle Academy, who was ranked first in their home state at the time (Silver Lake Regional was ranked third). The Lakers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams on Sunday. The Lakers were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Rams' pitchers proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Hingham hadn't done well against Plymouth South recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Harbormen blew past the Panthers 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Harbormen, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Hingham's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-4. As for Silver Lake Regional, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Silver Lake Regional came out on top in a nail-biter against Hingham in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Harbormen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
