Football Recap: Port St. Joe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Port St. Joe was riding high fresh off their 54-20 takedown of Rutherford last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Tiger Sharks and the Chipley Tigers didn't end well, with the Tiger Sharks falling 29-14. The Tiger Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.

Despite the loss, Port St. Joe still got an impressive performance from Corban Butts, who rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Port St. Joe has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Chipley, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Baker at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Chipley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
