Baseball Recap: Magnolia Takes a Loss

After flying high against Klein Forest last Tuesday, Magnolia came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 8-1 to the Klein Collins Tigers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since March 7th.

Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7-1. As for Klein Collins, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Magnolia is set to challenge their familiar foe Tomball at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.5, the Cougars 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Klein Collins will face off against rival Klein Cain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
