Volleyball Recap: Mission Bay Buccaneers vs. Saugus Centurions

Mission Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saugus Centurions.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12.

Saugus had a senior duo take command as Morgan Guardado had five digs and 19 assists and Gabriella Cascione had six digs and five aces. Guardado is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Mission Bay's loss dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Saugus, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 31-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brawley the next time they take the court. Mission Bay will head out to face Brawley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Saugus will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
