Forest typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Beachside proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Wildcats 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barracudas.

Beachside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-18, 15-10.

London Hussey paced Beachside's offense, picking up nine kills. Hussey got some help from Troy Mailly and his 20 assists. Hussey also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Aiden Williams, racking up two apiece.

Beachside's record now sits at 5-10. As for Forest, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Coincidentally, Beachside and Forest will both be playing Gulf Breeze the next time they take the court. The Barracudas will head out to face the Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
