Softball Game Preview: Maret Frogs vs. St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions

After both having extra time off, the Maret Frogs and the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Maret's offense. They lost 15-0 to Holton-Arms last Thursday.

Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against School Without Walls two weeks ago, falling 22-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Maret was able to grind out a solid win over St. Andrew's Episcopal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maret since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
